Nick Eliopulos

Nick Eliopulos is an American author, editor, and game designer. He is known for his officially licensed Minecraft chapter book series and The Adventurers Guild trilogy.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Eliopulos developed an early interest in storytelling. He read superhero comics and books about the paranormal. Encouraged by his parents and teachers, he pursued a degree in cultural studies at the University of Florida.

After graduating, Eliopulos moved to New York and began a career in publishing. He spent thirteen years as a children's book editor, working on licensed properties such as Thomas the Tank Engine, DC Super Friends and Spirit Animals. He also contributed original comics to Stuck in the Middle and First Kiss (Then Tell) anthologies.

Eliopulos debuted as a novelist with The Adventurers Guild (2017), which he co-wrote with his best friend Zack Loran Clark. The book was inspired by their experiences with tabletop role-playing games. "I live in a fantasy world — and I love it," Eliopulos has said of his work.

He went on to write two official Minecraft series, Woodsword Chronicles and Stonesword Saga, expanding his reach among young readers. His books are designed to engage reluctant readers by combining adventure with accessible storytelling.

Nick Eliopulos is now a narrative designer for an indie video game studio. He also teaches writing at the university level, speaks at conferences, and leads workshops. He lives in Brooklyn with his husband, a fellow editor and writer.
