Anna Ihrén is a Swedish crime writer known for her gripping mysteries on the country's west coast, particularly in Gothenburg and the idyllic island of Smögen. With over 750,000 copies in print, she is the author of the popular Morden på Smögen and Skärgårdspolisen series, which combine suspenseful plots with rich character development and evocative coastal settings.
Ihrén has also written crime novels for children aged 8–13.
Born in Gothenburg and partly raised in Stockholm, Anna Ihrén spent her summers in Smögen — an experience that deeply inspires her storytelling. She later returned to Gothenburg, where she studied and worked in urban development communication.
Today Anna Ihrén lives with her husband and two children in Sjövik, Lerum municipality.
