When God called this southern-Californian to go to Germany in 1977, Daniel Tracy (born in 1952) could never have imagined that he would meet his American wife, Cynthia, (from South Dakota) in that country and that they would raise their six children there over the following three decades.
In the years before the Berlin Wall came down and Communism fell, Daniel and Cynthia served the church behind the Iron Curtain by providing Bibles, Christian literature, ministry in teaching, preaching and worship, and humanitarian help. They served as pastors of the CIDA-Center (Christ Is The Answer) in Trostberg - located in the middle of south-eastern Bavaria in Germany - from 1993 to 2012.
Since the founding of the German branch in 1990, Daniel has been involved in Derek Prince Ministries - first as President of the Board and since 1994 as its Director. He and Cynthia also serve on the Board of Christian Friends of Israel in Germany.
Serving God and His church by providing clear, easy to understand and practical Bible teaching as well as through encouraging the Body of Christ into a more intimate relationship with God through worship and praise in order to "...equip the saints for their work of service" summarizes their understanding of God's calling on their lives.
In partnership with their adult children and their spouses, the family organization, Azar GbR, was founded in 2005 to help fulfill that calling.
The word Azar is Hebrew and encompasses the following meanings:
"to undergird, to support, to build up,
to prepare for battle, to serve."
