Thomas Kies is the author of the Geneva Chase Mystery Series. He has worked for newspapers and magazines for many years, primarily in New England and New York. His Shadow Hill earned a nomination for the 2022 Sue Grafton Memorial Award by the Mystery Writers of America.

Kies also serves as the President of the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce.
