The most common cause of aggression is a failure or being stopped short of a goal. Studies indicate that those who have been made miserable by such unfortunate events usually make others around them more miserable as well.

The most aggressive people within societies are typically ones who have been put through something of a loop: their testosterone levels rise and cause them to become aggressive, which in turn begets higher levels of testosterone and even more aggression.

. It is also important to keep in mind that each and every one of us has a dark or “evil” side of our own psychology.

Dark psychology is not meant to be a pageant of villains, however. Specialists within this field do their work in order to better understand why and how malevolent people work toward their ends, not out of some attempt to gain fame for themselves and or to idolize the more monstrous among us.
