Of Fire and Stars

Or riding into the sunrise with a girl on a red horse.

“We shouldn’t do this,” I whispered.

“I know.”

I wanted to trace the constellations in them, to memorize each and every pattern I could find on her skin and warm it with my touch.

I missed her. Evidently she didn’t feel the same.
