4 Gently but firmly open your puppy’s mouth, and inspect his teeth, gums and throat.

3 Groom your puppy all over, and check his coat for signs of parasites or any new lumps or bumps.

2 Check your puppy’s feet for any cuts or thorns, or for stones or grass seeds between the pads.

1 Check your pup’s ears. They should be clean, smell sweet and have no excessive wax, redness or discharge.
