You know when you are born into the Jobe family, it is a given you
are going to have to become a come-from-behind stretch runner,
or life is going to chew you up and spit you out. Young Jackie Jobe
is an insider. Adult Jack Jobe is an outsider looking in. When, at a
young age a tragedy at the racetrack seems certain to define young
Jackie's life, he is determined to overcome the tragedy by returning
some day to the sport usually reserved for the “VanAstorbilts,” and
not a mere Jobe.
Determination, and a loving family combine to give Jack the push
he needs to return to his dream, the sole reason, he believes, God
placed him here in the first place, to somehow win the most
important horse race in the world.But first, he must overcome his
inheritance: The Jobe name.
