This it the third and final volume of a trilogy of novellas in which Dr. Evelyn Slater takes the lead in resolving the mystery surrounding an alien artefact discovered in low-Earth orbit.
In this final volume (warning spoiler) she is still recovering from the attempt on her life. She discovers that another alien artefact is soon to arrive at the ISS on the Mars One vessel. She is determined to be there when it is activated and returns to the research Cluster nearby the International Space Station.
This is an extremely fast moving story which delves into how politics and religion are affected by the alien discovery. This is also a story of emotion and a strange form of love.
To tell more would give away too much, but the reader gets to know the main characters extremely well as this final book leads towards an unexpected conclusion.
